SPAL Primavera struggles to the last but is defeated by Parma
Defeat for the SPAL Primavera team, which on the field of Parma, despite a generous match, succumbed 2-1 against the gialloblù and is mathematically out of the playoffs.
The hosts took the lead after only three minutes with Cardinali, found in the center of the area by Marconi, but ten minutes later came the biancazzurro's equalizer immediately with Carbone's free kick from the edge of the box, which, thanks to a deflection of the barrier, displaced Moretta.
In the 21st minute Parma takes the lead again: Mayele touches the ball with his hand inside the penalty area and for the referee there are the extremes for the penalty. On the penalty spot comes Marconi, the biancazzurro goalkeeper Romagnoli touches the ball but it is not enough to prevent the ball from entering the net.
In the second half, coach Grieco's boys poured in en masse in search of an equalizer, and only two prodigious interventions by the gialloblù number one Moretta denied SPAL the equalizing goal.
First, it was Vesprini who moved in from the left and fed Casari's cutback, who stopped and kicked but found the prompt response of the opponent's goalkeeper, while five minutes from the end it was Carbone's shot from the distance that called the ducal extreme defender to overtime.
SPAL will return to the field next Saturday in the home match against Venezia, valid for the 29th day of the Primavera 2 Championship and last of the season at the "G.B. Fabbri".
